Willow Room
A small studio with a slow pace. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.
See this week’s classesAbout the studio
We teach yoga the way we would want to be taught: unhurried, in a warm room, with a teacher who knows your name by the second class. Most of our students have been coming for years, and most of them started by standing at the back wondering if they were doing it right. You are.
Mats, blocks, bolsters and blankets are here for you. Arrive ten minutes early for your first visit so we can say hello and show you where the kettle is.
Slow down. The rest of the day can wait an hour.

Passes
A single class to pay as you go, a class pack to save a little, or an unlimited month if you would rather not count. No need to commit. Short on money? Ask about Energy Exchange: a few hours of help around the studio each month for an unlimited pass, a work-trade we arrange in conversation.
Single class
$25
1 class · use within 30 days

10-class pack
$220
10 classes · use within 120 days
Ten classes to use over four months, at a little less per class. The pass that most of our regulars keep in their pocket.

Single reformer class
$38

One class on the reformer or the mat, to see whether this is your kind of thing. It usually is.
8-class pack
$272
8 classes · use within 90 days
Eight classes over three months — roughly one a week, which is where most people start to feel the difference.
Unlimited month
$249

Your teachers
Every class here is taught by someone who still takes classes themselves.
Elena
Reformer Flow · Jumpboard
Reformer Flow and Jumpboard. A former dancer who teaches rhythm as carefully as form.
Ivy
Founder · Hatha and Yin
Founder. Teaching since 2009, trained in Hatha and Yin, and still the first one in the building on Monday mornings.
Jo
Gentle and restorative · Beginners’ Series
Gentle and restorative classes, and the Beginners’ Series. Patient to a fault, which is the point.
Marcus
Owner · Classical Pilates
Owner and lead teacher. Classically trained, comprehensively certified, and the reason the springs are always set right.
Noor
Foundations · Prenatal Reformer
Foundations, Prenatal Reformer and Mat. The teacher most of our beginners met first.
Priya
Power Flow · Physiotherapist
Power Flow and Sunday Slow Flow. A physiotherapist by day, so the cues come with reasons.
Sam
Vinyasa · Candlelit Yin
Vinyasa and candlelit Yin. Came to yoga from running, and teaches for the people who think they are too stiff for it.
Theo
Reformer Stretch · Barre
Reformer Stretch and Barre + Core. Came to Pilates for a back injury and stayed for the rest.
Questions
The things people ask before a first visit.
I have never done yoga. Which class should I start with?
Any class with Gentle or Slow in the name. Tell the teacher it is your first time and they will offer you options as you go. Nobody is watching you; everyone is watching their own mat.
What should I bring?
Yourself, in something you can move in. We have mats and props. A water bottle is a good idea for the stronger classes.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel from your bookings up to a few hours before the class and the credit goes straight back on your pass. After that it is used, because the place was held for you.
